Footage taken by an MEE correspondent in Sinai shows the aftermath of a raid by the Egyptian army, with frightened villagers pointing to the destruction caused by modern helicopter gunships.
The scale of the attack becomes clears as the camera passes through an array of nomad dwellings and more substantial houses destroyed in a "sweep" for militants by troops and the air force.
