13 tweets Donald Trump sent warning US not to attack Syria

'Again to our very foolish leader, do not attack Syria - if you do many very bad things will happen' - Donald Trump

Donald Trump on Tuesday launched a stinging criticism of Barack Obama, saying his predecessor's "inaction" in Syria had led to a deadly chemical attack in Idlib.

“President Obama said in 2012 that he would establish a 'red line' against the use of chemical weapons and then did nothing," Trump said, in reference to Obama's decision not to bomb the Syrian government after a similar chemical release in Ghouta, near Damascus, in 2013.

"These heinous actions by the Bashar al-Assad regime are a consequence of the last administration’s weakness and irresolution."

There’s only one problem with that, or 13 to be precise: during the course of 2013, Trump took to Twitter to repeatedly call on Obama to "not attack Syria".
