About 40 percent of Gaza's population at risk of famine, UN says

Around 40 percent of Gaza's 2.3 million population is now at risk of famine, the UN Agency for Palestinian Refugees (Unrwa) said on Thursday.
"Gaza is grappling with catastrophic hunger. 40 percent of the population are now at risk of famine," the agency said in a post on social media platform X.
"The reality is, we need more aid. The only remaining hope is a humanitarian ceasefire."
