Dutch civil servants stage sit-in demanding a ceasefire

Around 150 Dutch diplomats staged a rally demanding a ceasfire in Gaza outside the Netherlands' foreign ministry in The Hague on Thursday. They unfurled a banner and carried placards reading "Civil Servants Demand Ceasefire".

A spokesperson said that they were protesting the Dutch government's continued failure to call for a ceasefire.

"We cannot just stand by and watch while international and humanitarian law are being violated," a protester said.
