Egypt rejects Trump call to relocate Gazans to neighbouring countries

In a statement released Sunday, the Egyptian Foreign Ministry said it rejects the displacement of Palestinians or the encouragement of their transfer outside their land, whether temporarily or long-term. 

The statement appears to be a response to US President Donald Trump's call to "clean out" Gaza of its people and send them to Egypt or Jordan.
