  • Israel has released five Palestinian prisoners in what marks the first unexpected release since the ceasefire took effect, offering a rare moment of hope and relief to families in Gaza.

  • Israeli authorities on Monday released the bodies of 45 Palestinian prisoners being held by the Israeli side, Al Jazeera Arabic reported. The Red Cross team transported the bodies to Nasser Medical Complex in Khan Younis.

  • Israeli forces on Monday shot dead 17-year-old Jamil Atef Hanani in Beit Fourik, in the occupied West Bank, the Palestinian health ministry said. 

  • Israeli army committed 194 violations of the ceasefire agreement that came into effect on 10 October, director of the government media office in Gaza, Ismail al-Thawabta, said. 

  • Gaza’s health ministry announced that it will launch a vaccination campaign next week, targeting approximately 40,000 children under the age of three.

  • The United Nations says more than four-fifths of all buildings in Gaza have been damaged or destroyed by Israel’s relentless bombardment.

  • Egypt has warned that the scale of destruction caused by Israel’s assault on Gaza will require an astronomical $70 billion to rebuild.

  • Knesset's National Security Committee approved a bill that would allow the execution of Palestinian prisoners, local media reported. The committee referred the bill to the Knesset General Assembly for discussion and voting in the upcoming legislative session, reports said. 

  • US President Donald Trump on Monday said that the ceasefire in Gaza is not fragile and that he would intervene to help Netanyahu, who he said was not being treated well in Israel. 

  • US President Donald Trump’s administration has presented a proposal to potential Gulf donor countries to rebuild "New Gaza" on the eastern side of the strip, which is under Israeli control, Times of Israel reported
