Gaza war death toll rises

The Gaza health ministry said in a statement that Israel's war on Gaza has killed 54,677 people, and wounded 125,530 people since 7 October 2023.

At least 70 people were killed in the past 24 hours, the ministry says, and 189 wounded were admitted to Gaza hospitals in that same period.
