Houthis claim attack on Aramco oil facility in Saudi Arabia
4 October 2026 01:55 BST
Yahya Saree, a spokesman for Yemen's Ansar Allah armed forces, has said that Houthis targeted a major Saudi Arabian oil facility with ballistic missiles and drones.
In a post on X, he said the attacks caused fires at the targeted sites and were in response to Saudi air raids on the territory the group controls in Yemen, including the capital Sanaa.
He claimed there have been some 60 air attacks on Houthi-controlled territory in the past 24 hours.
His statement comes after a large plume of smoke was seen rising from the Saudi Aramco refinery near Riyadh on Saturday.
