Iran will plunge Middle East into 'darkness' if Trump escalates war

A senior Iranian source told Reuters they were prepared to plunge the Middle East into darkness as "the US has not changed its tone" on the conflict.
"There are no negotiations with the US, which wants Iran to surrender to pressure, and we will show flexibility when the U.S. shows flexibility on its part," he said.
"The US wants the Strait of Hormuz reopened, Iran will not open it in exchange for 'empty promises.' If the US attacks Iran's power stations, the entire region and Saudi Arabia will be in complete darkness. And if the situation gets out of control, Iran's allies will also close the Bab el-Mandeb Strait."
