Iran's Atomic Energy Organisation reports contamination at Natanz

The Atomic Energy Organisation of Iran (AEOI) has reported that contamination has been detected inside the Natanz nuclear site, which was twice targeted by a barrage of Israeli strikes on Friday.

The AEOI did not clarify whether the leakage was chemical or radioactive, but said that it was only detected inside the complex and that there was no cause for concern outside the site.

“As far as we know, the damage is limited to surface-level areas,” Mohammad Islami, the AEOI head, said, adding that no casualties were reported.
