Iran's supreme leader 'paranoid' about Israeli spies in top ranks: Report

Israel's intelligence penetration of Iran and Hezbollah is making it hard for Hezbollah to choose a new leader because officials fear Israel's infiltration will put Hassan Nasrallah's successor at risk, four Lebanese sources told Reuters.

Iran is now conducting a new purge of Israeli spies, the report said, noting that the Islamic Republic is investigating certain members of the Revolutionary Guard Corps who have travelled abroad, including to Lebanon.

Iran's Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei is now paranoid about spies within his circle, the report added.
