Islamic Jihad delegation arrives in Doha for Gaza ceasefire talks

Palestinian Islamic Jihad says its delegation has landed in Doha to take part in renewed negotiations aimed at securing a ceasefire in Gaza.

In a brief statement on Saturday, the armed group confirmed that its secretary-general, Ziyad al-Nakhalah, is heading the delegation.

Islamic Jihad, which has been participating in talks alongside Hamas, is expected to join discussions with Qatari mediators as efforts continue to reach a deal to halt Israel’s offensive and secure a prisoner exchange.
