Israel shells hospital in Beit Lahiya

Israel has shelled the Kamal Adwan hospital in Beit Lahiya, northern Gaza.

Hussam Abu Safiya, the hospital's director, said the building was hit by around 100 tank shells and bombs.

He added that while no one was killed, several medical staff and patients were wounded. The hospital, one of three operational in northern Gaza, is treating 112 wounded people.

The bombing damaged electricity and oxygen pumps and disrupted urgent surgeries, according to the Palestinian health ministry.
