Israeli army claims to intercept attempted weapons smuggling from Jordan

The Israeli military said on Friday it intercepted an attempt to smuggle nine pistols and a large number of cartridges across the Jordanian border, according to the Israeli news outlet Haaretz.

According to the Israeli army spokesperson’s office, aerial surveillance and border control forces detected a drone crossing into Israel overnight. Soldiers on the ground confiscated both the drone and the weapons.
