Israeli aviation sector suffered $28.8m loss due to war on Gaza

The Israeli aviation sector has suffered losses amounting to 105 million shekels ($28.8m ) in the first nine months of 2024, as a result of the continued assault on the Gaza Strip, a statement by the Israeli Airports Authority on Monday said.

The loss is partly due to continued flight cancellations by several western airlines to and from Tel Aviv.

Data showed that approximately 13.8 million passengers passed through Tel Aviv’s Ben Gurion Airport in 2024, a 34 percent decline compared to 2023.
