Israeli strikes reported in multiple locations across Gaza

Israeli air strikes have been reported in multiple locations across Gaza, as Israel broke the weeks-long fragile ceasefire and launched a wave of attacks on Palestinians in the enclave.

Strikes were reported in Gaza City, Deir al-Balah, Khan Younis and Rafah.

A building in Gaza City was targeted in the north, and at least three houses were targeted in Deir al-Balah in central Gaza.

Palestinian health ministry officials said many of the dead were children.

The strikes took place during the holy month of Ramadan, hours before Palestinians in Gaza were due to wake up to break their fasts.
