Poll finds majority of Jewish Israelis support war on Iran
A large majority of Israelis support the war on Iran, while support among Palestinian citizens of Israel is far lower, according to a survey conducted in early March.
The poll found that 82 percent of the Israeli public backed the war, including 93 percent of Jewish respondents.
The survey, carried out by the Viterbi Center for Public Opinion and Policy Research at the Israel Democracy Institute, included 500 Hebrew-language interviews and 99 in Arabic.
While 74 percent of Israeli respondents said they felt protected against Iranian attacks, most Palestinian citizens said they did not.
Palestinian citizens of Israel have repeatedly reported a lack of access to shelters and safe rooms due to discriminatory building policies, leaving many in the community more vulnerable during attacks.
