More Israeli soldiers join the call for end to Gaza war

A group of officers and reservists from the Israeli Special Operations and Cyber Directorates have published open letters reiterating calls for an end to the Gaza war and a return to negotiations to ensure the release of the captives.

In a statement quoted by Israeli Army Radio, reservists from the Cyber Directorate accused Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu of prolonging the war for his "political survival."

The report said 150 Golani Brigade members are among those who signed an open letter.

Former members of Special Operations units said that "the Israeli government and its leader are a clear and immediate danger to Israel's security and to the lives of the hostages."

Last week, almost 1,000 Air Force personnel published a letter calling for the return of all captives and an end to the war.

Former and active-duty members of the military in various units, from the Armoured Corps to the Navy and Medical Corps, joined the call in several other open letters supporting the sentiment.
