Israeli jets heavily bombed the Nuseirat refugee camp in the central Gaza Strip overnight, according to local media. At least six Palestinians were killed, including a child, in attacks in Jabalia, Beit Lahia and Gaza City, Wafa news agency reported.

The EU’s foreign affairs chief Josep Borrell said “the colonisation of the mind of the people is the most dangerous thing” facing Israeli society, as he called out the rise of extremism in the country.

Israel’s Housing Minister Yitzchak Goldknopf has said “Jewish settlement” in Gaza is an appropriate response to the 7 October attack and the ICC arrest warrants for Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and former Defence Minister Yoav Gallant.
