Live Blog Update| Israel's genocide in Gaza

Morning update

Good morning Middle East Eye readers,

Here are the latest updates from Gaza, 24 days after a fragile ceasefire ended Israel's two-year genocidal war:

  • Israeli special forces stormed the Balata refugee camp in the West Bank at dawn today.

  • Hamas and members of the Red Cross continue the search for bodies of eight remaining Israeli captives in Gaza.

  • Israeli forces killed three Palestinians in Gaza and two people in separate strikes on southern Lebanon, where seven others were wounded.

  • Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan said that countries are still working on a UN mandate for an international stabilisation force in Gaza.

  • Half of the households surveyed by the UN in Gaza reported that "food access is the same" or has deteriorated since the 10 October ceasefire.
