Netanyahu: War on Gaza 'not close to conclusion'

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said on Monday that the war was "not close to conclusion" and "will take a long time", Reuters reported.

Addressing a Likud party meeting, he added: "We are intensifying the fighting in the coming days. It will be a long fight, and it is not near its end. We need patience, cohesion, unity, and steadfastness in the task."

The message came after Israel carried out what has been described as "the deadliest attack" on Gaza's Maghazi refugee camp on Sunday evening and early into Monday morning, killing at least 106 Palestinians.
