Qatar calls for rapid start to phase two ceasefire talks

Qatar’s Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Thani called on Sunday for quick implementation of phase two ceasefire talks between Hamas and Israel. 

"We underline the importance of commitment by all parties to implementing all the terms of the ceasefire agreement in Gaza and starting the second phase (of negotiations)," Thani told a joint news conference in Doha with Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan.

"There should be no compromises to engage in the second-phase negotiations," he added.

He said the talks were scheduled to start on Monday.
