'See what was done to Gaza': Angelina Jolie shares images of destruction

American actress Angelina Jolie has posted before-and-after Google Maps satellite images showing the scale of destruction across Gaza.

"You can now open Google Earth and see what was done to Gaza," Jolie wrote in a long post on X.

"Whole neighbourhoods have been reduced to rubble. Homes, schools, universities, hospitals, roads, water and sanitation systems, infrastructure that people depended on to survive have been damaged or destroyed,” she wrote.

She said some 1.98 million people in Gaza need humanitarian assistance, but noted that “aid and shelter materials continue to face restrictions and delays”.
