Trump says Iran must stop support for Houthis ‘immediately

US President Donald Trump threatened Iran over its support for Yemen’s Houthi rebels, warning of consequences if Tehran continued aiding the group.
Trump said: “To Iran: Support for the Houthi terrorists must end IMMEDIATELY! Do NOT threaten the American People, their President, who has received one of the largest mandates in Presidential History, or Worldwide shipping lanes.”
“If you do, BEWARE, because America will hold you fully accountable and, we won’t be nice about it!” he added.
The statement came after Trump announced an attack on Yemen that killed at least nine people on Saturday.
The Houthi rebels have been targeting ships in the Red Sea as acts of resistance to support Palestinians in Gaza under Israeli bombardment.
