US President Donald Trump was reportedly not keen on attacking Iran earlier on Tuesday, according to The Wall Street Journal.
In a phone call with the newspaper, Trump downplayed Iran's downing a US helicopter, saying it "wasn’t a big deal".
The report indicated that the president changed his mind after War Secretary Pete Hegseth and Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Dan Caine suggested military action during a briefing at the White House.
