Hospitals across the Gaza Strip have received at least 95 bodies and treated 304 wounded in the last 48 hours, the Palestinian Ministry of Health in Gaza said on Saturday.

Hamas has confirmed that Sheikh Asaad Abu Sharia, secretary-general of the Mujahideen movement, and his brother Ahmed Abu Sharia, were killed in an Israeli strike on Gaza City’s Sabra neighbourhood.
In a statement posted on Telegram, Hamas described the killings as “part of a series of brutal massacres against civilians”.
Earlier, medical sources told Al Jazeera that the attack in Sabra left at least 16 people dead, including six children, and wounded more than 50.
Rescue crews continue to search for survivors, with an estimated 85 people still trapped beneath the rubble.

Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman has used his Eid al-Adha address to denounce Israel’s war on Gaza and renew calls for a peaceful resolution for the Palestinian people.
“Eid al-Adha comes this year while the suffering of our brothers in Palestine continues as a result of the Israeli aggression,” he said during his remarks.
He urged the international community to act, saying it must “end the disastrous repercussions of this aggression, protect civilians and innocents, and create a new reality in which Palestine enjoys peace.”

Israeli forces shot and killed a Palestinian and wounded two others at the Dhahiriya checkpoint, located south of Hebron in the occupied West Bank, according to the Palestinian Red Crescent.
The organisation confirmed that its teams retrieved the body of the slain man and treated the injured at the scene.
The circumstances surrounding the shooting remain unclear.
Israeli settlers have destroyed more than 100 olive trees in the eastern part of Qarawat Bani Hassan, a town west of Salfit in the occupied West Bank, according to the town’s mayor.
Ibrahim Asi told Wafa news agency that the trees, owned by local resident Muhannad Sufyan Rayyan, were cut down and vandalised in what he described as yet another attack in a long pattern of settler violence targeting Palestinian land and farmers.
Elsewhere, in Kafr ad-Dik, also west of Salfit, settlers assaulted Nasser Faraj Naji while he was working on his land in the town’s northern area. He was injured and taken to Salfit Government Hospital for treatment.
The settlers reportedly also tried to set fire to a small agricultural structure belonging to another resident, Ahmed Mohammed Ali.
At least 75 Palestinians have been killed in Israeli airstrikes across the Gaza Strip since dawn, according to medical sources speaking to Al Jazeera.
Hospitals across the besieged territory have reported a surge in casualties. Nasser Hospital in Khan Younis received 33 bodies, while six were brought to Al-Aqsa Hospital in Deir el-Balah.
Another 36 bodies arrived at Al-Shifa and Al-Ahli Arab hospitals in Gaza City.
Israeli bombardment has intensified in recent hours, stretching emergency services and hospital staff already overwhelmed by months of conflict
Israel has sold a record amount of debt in the US since its war on Gaza erupted on 7 October 2023, according to a report by Bloomberg on Friday.
The government of Israel’s US-based bond broker, Israel Bonds, says it has sold $5bn worth of debt in the last twenty months. The level of bond issuance is more than double that raised by Israel Bonds, in similar time periods previously.
Israel’s war on Gaza started after the 7 October 2023 Hamas-led attacks on southern Israel killed around 1,200 people. Israel responded by pummelling the Gaza Strip and invading it. More than 54,000 people, mainly women and children, have been killed in the Israeli attacks, and the population is facing "imminent famine", the United Nations says.
Israel Bonds is affiliated with Israel’s finance ministry and sells bonds inside the US to both retail and institutional investors. The starting price for non-tradable retail Israeli bonds is as low as $36.
A five-year Israeli bond has a yield between 4.86 percent and 5.44 percent, according to the Bloomberg report.

Israeli warplanes launched two separate airstrikes on Saturday evening, killing at least nine Palestinians in northern and central Gaza, according to the Palestinian news agency Wafa.
In Jabalia, in the north of the enclave, an air raid flattened the home of the Abdullah family, killing six people. A Wafa correspondent reported that several others remain trapped beneath the rubble.
Later in the evening, another strike targeted a tent sheltering displaced Palestinians in the Al-Bassa area of Deir al-Balah, killing three civilians.
Rescue efforts are ongoing at both sites as Israel’s bombardment continues across the strip.
Iran’s state broadcaster IRIB says the country’s intelligence services have acquired a “vast trove” of Israeli files, including thousands of documents linked to the country’s nuclear infrastructure.
Quoting unnamed sources, IRIB reported that the amount of material seized is so extensive that simply reviewing and analysing it — along with related images and video — would take considerable time.
“The sheer volume of the materials and the need to securely transfer the entire shipment into the country necessitated a period of media silence,” the sources said, adding that the files are now stored in secure locations.
The report follows last month’s announcement by Israeli police that several people had been arrested in connection with a leak of classified material from the prime minister’s office.
While IRIB referred to that incident, it did not confirm whether the arrests were directly linked to Iran’s alleged acquisition of the documents.
An Israeli air strike targeting a home just south of the Nuseirat refugee camp in central Gaza has killed two people and left several others wounded, according to medical staff at Al-Aqsa Martyrs Hospital.
The bombing struck a residential area already overwhelmed by repeated attacks and mounting displacement.
Tens of thousands took to the streets of Rome on Saturday to protest the ongoing Israeli war on Gaza, in a massive demonstration led by opposition groups accusing Italy’s government of being complicit in Israel’s assault.
“Stop the massacre, stop complicity!” read a banner at the front of the march, as a sea of Palestinian flags, rainbow peace banners, and “Free Palestine” signs stretched down the capital’s avenues.
Organisers estimated the turnout at around 300,000.
The peaceful protest moved from Piazza Vittorio to San Giovanni, where speakers condemned the violence in Gaza and criticised the silence of Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni’s far-right government.
At least five people have been killed and 30 others wounded after an Israeli air raid targeted a residential home in Jabalia al-Balad, in northern Gaza, according to medical staff at the Baptist Hospital.
Doctors say the casualties arrived following the bombing, which struck a densely populated area already reeling from repeated attacks.
