If they want to register US Muslims, they'll have to 'Register Me First'
US President Donald Trump may find that his proposed Muslim registry attracts a lot more names than anticipated in the wake of a solidarity campaign launched this week.
The Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR) campign group launched its "Register Me First" website and campaign on Monday aimed at challenging “President Donald Trump’s Islamophobic policies including the ongoing ‘Muslim ban’ and a proposed ‘Muslim registry’”.
The Register Me First website allows anyone who opposes the Muslim ban, and the idea of a Muslim registry, to declare their support and join a nationwide movement aimed at challenging Trump's "unjust" policies.
Once people register themselves on the site, they will receive ongoing updates on new ways to show their solidarity with American Muslims, and how to effectively challenge Islamophobia present within the Trump administration.

The director of CAIR’s department to monitor and combat Islamophobia, Corey Sailor, said: “CAIR invites all people of conscience to partner with an action-oriented movement that will stand up for the Constitution against faith-based bans and registries”.
Since the launch of the website, people have taken to social media to share and express support for the initiative...
…and to let people know that they have registered.
The initiative attracted multi-faith support
Others, including this user, highlighted the unconstitutional nature of Trump's policies.
CAIR is America’s largest Muslim civil liberties and advocacy organisation with a stated mission to “enhance the understanding of Islam, encourage dialogue, protect civil liberties, empower American Muslims, and build coalitions that promote justice and mutual understanding.”
