The Israeli army said on Thursday that it had launched air strikes on multiple targets in Yemen, including Sanaa International Airport, three ports and two power stations, in a major offensive against the Houthi movement.

Almasirah, a TV channel affiliated with Houthis, reported that at least three people have been killed and 11 wounded in the attacks.

The targeted sites included Hezyaz and Ras Kanatib power stations as well as military infrastructure in the ports of Hodeidah, Salif and Ras Kanatib, according to a statement from the Israeli military.

While the Houthis have yet to comment on Thursday's attacks, Almasirah confirmed strikes on the airport, Hodeidah and a power station.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu commented on the attacks, saying his army will continue its campaign against the Houthis "until the job is done".

"We are determined to cut this branch of terrorism from the Iranian axis of evil. We will continue until the job is done," he said in a video statement, referring to the "axis of resistance" that includes Iran and its regional allies.

The Houthi movement, which controls northwestern Yemen and the capital Sanaa, has launched several drone and missile attacks on Israel since its devastating onslaught on Gaza in October 2023. The Houthis described these attacks as acts of solidarity with the Palestinians.

The latest Houthi attack was on Wednesday, when the group fired a ballistic missile and two drones towards Israel.

A missile from Yemen struck Jaffa in southern Tel Aviv on Saturday, wounding 16 people. In response, Netanyahu said he ordered the destruction of Houthi infrastructure in Yemen.

"I have instructed our forces to destroy the infrastructure of Huthis because anyone who tries to harm us will be struck with full force," Netanyahu told parliament.

Last week, Israeli air strikes also hit sites in Sanaa and Hodeidah, targeting ports and energy infrastructure. The strikes killed nine people.

The Israeli army said it had targeted sites “used by the Houthi forces for their military operations”, following a missile launched by the group towards Israel the previous night, which was intercepted.
