Nuh Yilmaz, the Turkish deputy foreign affairs minister, said his government is "doing its best" to pressure an end to Israel’s ban on Gaza aid enforced since 2 March.
Speaking to Middle East Eye News Editor Sondos Asem on 30 April during the International Court of Justice (ICJ) hearings in The Hague on Israel’s humanitarian duties in the Palestinian territories, Yilmaz said, “we side with Palestine, we are against the genocide” and against the displacement of the Palestinian people from Gaza.
"We are talking to almost all related parties to be able to send aid to Gaza," he said.
"We want the genocide to stop as soon as possible."
