Anti-Zionist Jewish Americans arrested during protest against Joe Biden

At least 50 Jewish Americans have been arrested inside Rockefeller Center in New York City after they refused to stop protesting against Joe Biden and his support for Israel's war in Gaza.

Around 100 protesters, from the anti-Zionist organisation Jewish Voice for Peace, assembled on Monday afternoon inside the centre where the US president was reportedly recording a segment with late-night TV host, Seth Meyers.

Within minutes of the protest beginning in the lobby area of the Rockefeller Center, dozens of police officers, many of whom were already stationed outside the centre due to Biden’s visit,  warned the protesters they would be arrested if they didn’t vacate the building.

The protesters continued to sing and chant and 50 were ultimately arrested, according to JVP.

“He’s not listening to his constituents, he’s listening to Netanyahu, he’s listening to Aipac,” Jane Hirschmann, one of the protesters, told MEE.

“But what’s going to happen to [Biden]?” She continued. “We’re not going to vote for him.”
