Israeli bombing of Gaza comparable to WWII devastation 

Israel’s “catastrophic” bombing campaign in Gaza “has approached that caused by the years-long carpet-bombing of German cities during the Second World War,” the Financial Times reports. 

“Gaza will also go down as a place name denoting one of history’s heaviest conventional bombing campaigns,” said the report. 

Almost 70 percent of all buildings in Gaza have been destroyed in the last two months by Israel with the support of US weaponry.
