Israeli forces seize millions of dollars from West Bank money exchange offices

Israeli soldiers attacked money exchange offices in the occupied West Bank during raids early on Thursday and seized millions of dollars from them.

The raids targeted nine shops in Ramallah, Jenin and Hebron, according to Israeli and Palestinian reports. Around NIS 10 million ($2.8 million) were seized, the Israeli Army Radio said.

The shops are branches of five money exchange offices in the West Bank which Defence Minister Yoav Gallant designated as "terror organisations" for allegedly transferring funds to Hamas and the Islamic Jihad.

Middle East Eye could not independently verify the claim.
