BETHLEHEM, Occupied Palestinian Territories - A funeral was held on Monday in Bethlehem for a Palestinian boy who was shot in the chest by Israeli soldiers during clashes the day before.

Hundreds of mourners marched as relatives carried the body of 13-year-old Abdel Rahman Obeidallah from Beit Jala hospital to the boy's family home in nearby Aida refugee camp.

Palestinian news sources have reported that the boy was shot while returning home from school amid clashes with Israeli soldiers in the camp on Monday.

Israeli media have quoted army officials as saying the killing of Abdel Rahman was a "mistake".
