Israel launches air strikes on Gaza one day after deadly Jenin raid

Israel has launched air strikes on the occupied Gaza Strip one day after Israeli forces killed 9 Palestinians in Jenin refugee camp in the occupied West bank in one of the deadliest raids in recent years.

The killings in Jenin had prompted Palestinians in Gaza to fire rockets at Israel in retaliation, which were intercepted by Israel’s Iron Dome air defence system.

15 missiles were fired by Israeli warplanes on al-Maghazi refugee camp, in the centre of Gaza, reportedly causing damage to property and resulting in a power outage in the area.
