Egyptians react to cost of living crisis

Egyptians say they are feeling ‘hopeless’ as they struggle with rising inflation and escalating living costs; they can no longer afford food and basic necessities.

The local pound lost half of its value on January 11 compared to March, while the price of imported food and other goods soared in the Arab world's most populous country.
