Protests in border town after Algeria expels Moroccan farmers from their land

Moroccan farmers in the border town of Figuig were barred from accessing their own lands on Thursday following an order by Algeria’s military to confiscate the area for its own use.

Angry protests have continued through the week, calling for the rights of the farmers to be restored.
