Three TikTok influencers arrested after parody video of jail visit

Three TikTok influencers have been arrested in Egypt after posting a parody video about visiting inmates in Egyptian jails. They face charges of ​”belonging to a terror group, misusing social media and spreading false news”.

The content creators will remain in pretrial detention for 15 days pending investigation according to the Egyptian Front for Human Rights (EFHR) .
