3 Palestinians shot dead in West Bank

Two Palestinians were shot dead by Israeli security forces by the Gush Etzion junction south of Bethlehem late on Tuesday, and another was shot dead later near Hebron's Old City.

According to a statement from the Israeli army, two men stabbed an Israeli soldier at the junction before being shot at the scene.

The soldier, 19, suffered moderate injuries in his upper body and was taken to a hospital in Jerusalem for treatment.

The Israeli army said that soldiers approached two Palestinians who were acting suspiciously near the junction.

The Two Palestinians were identified as Shadi al-Qudsi and Izzedine Abu Shakhdam, both from the city of Hebron.

Their families said they were 17 and 22 years old.

According to the Palestinian Red Crescent society, Israeli forces prevented their ambulances from arriving to the scene and administering treatment to the two Palestinian men, who bled to death on the ground.

The Israeli daily Ynet said that the attack took place by a bus stop near the Gush Etzion settlement bloc.

A third Palestinian man was later shot and killed in Tel Rumeida near Hebron's Old City after an alleged stabbing attack.

Maan News Agency reported that the victim was identified as Hammam Said, 23.

According to Maan, the International Solidarity Movement (ISM) said that activists heard six shots being fired in Tel Rumeida.

ISM claimed on social media that after Said was shot and killed Israeli forces placed a knife next to this body.

Israeli soldiers reportedly stripped the clothes from Said's body before placing him in a body bag, the group added.

The Palestinian health ministry said that the total death toll since the beginning of October to at least 63, over a third of which are from Hebron.
