Ahmed Aziz, a freelance journalist based in Khan Younis, contributed to dozens of reports for MEE during the Israeli genocide in Gaza. He was killed, along with four other journalists and at least 15 other people, as a result of an Israeli double-tap strike on the Nasser Hospital, southern Gaza on 25 August 2025.
